  1. I see that no one else has asked anything yet so I’m not sure if you’ll still be checking this, but what were you’re experiences finding places to live? How far out of London? Do you live on your own, with friends, with other people in the Graduate Program or strangers?

  2. Hi,

I was wondering a bit more about the structure of the first year. What kind of duties did you do in your first 3 months? What do you day-to-day now? (Although it sounds very varied according to clients!)

    Thanks,

    Jess

  3. Hi Amanda – right with regards to where we all live and how we found them – we are a bit of a mixed bunch. Kat still lives at home, quite far out on the Piccadilly line, Ali found a flat with some friends in Aldgate East, and i found a houseshare on Gumtree in Arsenal. You really won’t find it too difficult to find a place in London, and Gumtree really is a good place to start if you don’t have friends who want to move as well. As for living with ‘strangers’ – i moved in with 3 random girls, who i now love! i am actually moving house with one of them at the moment! So, if you are looking there are currently 2 spaces in my house in Highbury! ;)

  4. Hi Jess – ok the structure of the 1st year. When you start in September you will have 3weeks of fairly intensive training – lots of power-point presentations and workshops, and we even did a mini-pitch for some senior people in the office for BHF. After that you will be split up and rotate around the different departments – spending between 2 and 3 weeks each in Digital, Project Management, New Business and Account Handling. We also spent 3 weeks working client side for BHF. Your duities during these weeks completely depend on what is going on in each of the departments at that time – but you will definitely get a really thorough understanding of how the agency works. I did research for New Business, tested sites in Digital and ran projects through the agency in Project Management! There is no way you will just be making the tea – it is very hands-on from day 1.

As for duties now – i am run off my feet and i love it! You will find that once you start on your account it doesn’t take long to for you to really become an integral member of the team, and i am already really involved in several projects. To begin with you obviously need to learn the basics and so it might be a couple of months before you are let lose on the clients but after that it really is learn-as-you-go! Briefing creatives and designers, drawing up estimates, dealing with client requests, putting together competior reviews – and helping out whoever needs it on our team! Lots of fun!

  5. Hi,

I don’t have an interview from TEQUILLA/ but if was to do so, is there any advice apart from the expected, be yourself, don’t drink too much water/coffee/alcohol you could give me?

    Thanks

    Quoc

  6. oh no! I spelled TEQUILA\ wrong!

  7. hey…

since i am a 2008 graduate with only a predicted degree mark, could i still be considered for the current TEQUILA/ grad scheme–or do people normally get involved once they have their definite degree? also when do you think people with interviews might be told theyre the lucky ones?

    cheers

  8. Hi, a bit like above I was wondering when people would be told if they were successful at the first stage and have been offered an interview? How long after you applied were you told about the next step?
    Thank you!

  9. Hi,

I’m planning to apply for the grad scheme’s 2009 entry and am trying to fit travel plans around potential interviews/assessment days. What’s the application process for TEQUILA\ (i.e when should I be in the country if I got to interview stage)?

    Thanks,

    Nat
